Now, this could potentially turn out one of two ways: Either Mr Bercow will suddenly grow up and become a superb speaker. Or he will turn out to be just as inept and partisan as Speaker Martin.

Biased, inept and self-serving but not as bad as the despicable, biased and inept Michael Martin was, nor as bad and as biased as Margaret Beckett would have been. I just hope that at PMQs on Wednesday John Bercow actually shows some backbone and warns Gordon Brown for lying to the House if he does so.
