Enterprising Brummie sells the world off, piece-by-piece!

www.Buythemap.com joins the new internet craze of selling space. But this one is very different. Each week 4 countries are auctioned off to highest bidders through Ebay.

The winners receive their "deeds" through the post, and the right to display a link and logo on the country they have won.

"Is it just a bit of fun, or a site with huge potential," muses Frenchie a 25 year-old Brummie, who conceived the idea. (A Brummie is a denizen of Birmingham, England, from where your editor hails.)

"With some of the 'better' countries not yet being auctioned the UK / USA / Russia could command huge prices. Three weeks old and Spain tops the tables, sold for £100. Question is how much will your country go for, who will win it and what will they do?

"http://www.buythemap.comThe World is for Sale, get in quick," says Frenchie!

"I have been working on the site now for 3weeks" continues Frenchie, "so far I have had over 35,000 hits and its keeps growing. People really seem to be getting in to the idea, and I have setup a competition where you can win Alaska (its all great fun) Theres also a blog, and other features will no doubt come."
